Customized and delivered.
We designed and installed a new ingredients preparation line for a biscuits production at the J Macedo plant in Simões Filho, Bahia, Brazil. J Macedo’s biscuits and cookies are known through the brands Sol and Dona Benta.
In this project, executed in partnership with Sangati Berga, our team was present with 4 people, one of them an automation expert. We managed a 10 people strong team responsible for the physical installation of the entire system.
Highlight of this project is its high degree of customization, showing an important face of our work philosophy E2GETHER: meet the specific demands and always be at the side of the customer, solving his technical needs with solutions designed and built specifically for this purpose.
The highlight of the 80 m3 E2LS external tank is the temperature control, not only for the tank, but also for the dosing piping. With the viscosity under control, clogging is avoided, the correct flow in the pumping and the linear feeding of the line is guaranteed. This tank was installed in the external area since there is no internal area available. It stores the vegetable fat received from third parties and is an important ingredient in the recipe for biscuits and cookies. An E2DIP controls the flow of this and two other tanks to the dosing points.
Inside, 4 E2LS store other ingredients - fat, inverted liquid sugar, treated water and process cooled water - and supply the E2BLEND responsible for their homogenization before being sent to the dough mixer. These E2LS are tanks equally provided with temperature control to assure a perfect supply of the ingredients.
For this project we also created the E2HW, responsible for supplying the system with hot water. It’s an equipment out of our standard portfolio, but perfectly designed to fit the system.
A 9 m3 E2LS tank stores the inverted sugar by E2BAT. With capacity to process 2 tons / hour of sugar, the E2BAT is fed by pneumatic conveying.
We also designed the platform that allows easy access to the top of the E2LS tanks and the consequent visual control of the ingredients. In the photo, an E2LS being tested with water before starting up.
The work was carried out within the deadline, showing another characteristic of our E2GETHER work concept: the respect of the agreed deadlines.
